About Distinguished Wines

Distinguished Wines was established Sydney in 2000 by award-winning writer Birthe Karen Jensen with the aim to promote Australian and New Zealand wines to importers and wine lovers all around the world. Now, the company is based in her native country, Denmark.

Birthe is very well connected within the wine industry and she is cooperating with multiple wineries and organisations to establish a solid export for wineries. She is working with some of the most creative and passionate people within the industry.

Her book about Australian wines received raving reviews in Denmark and the book received the Gourmand Award in London as “Best Book in the World on New World Wines”.

Birthe has acquired a vast experience in international business by working for large Danish corporations such as Danfoss, Louis Poulsen, Maersk and for the Danish Trade Commission in Sydney, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
