The philosophy behind Angus the Bull, established in 2003 by renowned winemaker Hamish McGowan, is to make the absolute hands-down perfect accompaniment to prime piece of beef. Angus The Bull is a full bodied red wine from Cabernet Sauvignon and produced in Central Victoria in Australia. The brand has enjoyed considerable success in more than 22 export markets and is often recognized as being one of the Category Leader’s within its segment.

Some years ago the range was expanded to include a Merlot called Wee Angus (The Little Angus].  This label is positioned as the “Little Brother” to Angus The Bull and is made in a soft wine style. In March 2021 the Black Angus (Single Vineyard) label was introduced. It is a super premium Cabernet Sauvignon crafted from an exceptional site located in Heathcote, Victoria. Positioned as their “Flagship” label and only released in the very best vintages.
